Friends and family, near and far, I need your support. In yet another bizarre twist to 2020, I’ve recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Myxoid Liposarcoma. After spending the last decade working in the cancer non-profit space, this has come as quite a shock. However, the biggest thing I’ve learned from my time at LIVESTRONG and Pelotonia is that community is a critical ingredient in beating this cruel disease. So, I’m asking for your good energy, quiet prayers, positive vibes, and best wishes as I begin chemotherapy next week. I’m being treated by an amazing team of doctors and nurses at The James, and they have confidence that I will make a full recovery. Doug and I will keep you posted on how things are going.
